A parcel returned by China customs does not always mean it is lost. It usually means the parcel failed an export check and came back to the warehouse or logistics provider for adjustment.

Why parcels are returned

  • Restricted goods: Batteries, liquids, magnets, food or sensitive branded items may be rejected by some routes.
  • Declaration issue: The declared value or item description may not match route requirements.
  • Oversize or overweight parcel: The package may exceed the line limit after packing.
  • Random inspection: Some parcels are selected even when the details are correct.

What to check first

Read the ACbuy status notice and any logistics message. Look for the return reason, affected item, route name and whether the parcel has already arrived back at the warehouse.

If the reason is unclear, contact ACbuy support with the parcel number and ask what must be changed before resubmission.

How to solve it

The safest solution depends on the reason. You may need to remove restricted items, split the parcel, change the declaration, choose another route or wait for the returned parcel to be processed.

  • For sensitive items, choose a line that explicitly accepts that category.
  • For declared value issues, follow the route's range and description rules.
  • For oversized parcels, split heavy or bulky items into separate shipments.

Before resubmitting

Do not submit the same parcel again without changing anything. Confirm the new route and declaration with support first, especially if the parcel contains electronics, shoes with batteries, cosmetics or branded goods.
